Agree. Very much tied up in general patriotism and how we feel about ourselves I think as well. Our sense of patriotism seems to be tapered and we seem to apologise for being British, being a vet, being a police officer, being anything that helps citizens stay safe and protect them. It’s a complex issue but excellent question.
